Services
- Scheduled maintenance visits (typically twice yearly) and the required service records
- Air pump / blower diagnosis and replacement — pumps last 5–10 years, $200–$450 per year for a maintenance contract, varying with visit frequency and travel is the typical operating cost including the permit
- Alarm response: a blinking or sounding alarm usually means the air pump has stopped; the system reverts to anaerobic treatment within days if it isn't fixed
- Effluent quality checks and float/dosing adjustments
- Pumping — an ATU still accumulates solids
Common brands serviced: Clearstream, Jet, Norweco, Hoot, Fuji Clean and other units approved for Texas. Installation and warranty work require manufacturer certification beyond the standard contractor license — ask which brands your contractor is certified on.
All work is performed by TCEQ-licensed installers and licensed maintenance providers working under the county's on-site sewage facility program.
